Premiere in Uppsala June 13, 2026
Vibe participated in the Nordic composer competition “La Cappella Composition Award” in Uppsala, June 13, 2026.
Her work “Stjernerne vil lege” (The stars want to play) for female choir and accordion was premiered in Alfvénsalen, and won 3rd prize.
The three winning works will be performed again on November 7 at La Cappella’s anniversary concert.
The jury’s reasoning: “”Stjernerne vil lege” is awarded third prize for its imaginative and distinctive musical expression. With her own text and a playful collaboration between female choir and accordion, the composer creates a sound universe filled with charm, curiosity and ingenuity. The work’s creative use of sound and sound effects gives the music a distinctive character and enhances its subtle expression. The result is a work that arouses the listener’s curiosity and leaves a desire to hear more, while combining good singability with artistic integrity.”

Niels Ulbrandt’s compositions for cello and piano, inspired from the local nature in Mols Bjerge and a travel in the Pyrenees in France. Also you can hear nordic folktunes arranged for cello and piano.

RECORDING OF “NIKKENDE KOBJÆLDE” (SMALL PASQUE FLOWER)
Koda Kultur has granted support for the recording of Vibe’s composition “Nikkende Kobjælde” for cello and piano. The piece is in six movements, describing the phases of life from birth to death. The music was premiered in January as part of the exhibition “Dødishuller – Maleri og Musik skabt i Mols Bjerge” (Kettle Holes – Painting and Music Created in Mols Bjerge).
The recording will be released august 23rd 2026.

SING FOR UNITY 2025
EVENT DATE IN 2026: SEPTEMBER 20TH.
Toneregn is involved in the global project Sing For Unity – a soundwave for peace on UN’s International Day of Peace september 21st.
Vibe has arranged three songs for choir, and she conducted a big choir event at the ship Fregatten Jylland in Ebeltoft, DK. Toneregn performed together with 300 singers and 1.900 singing audiences.
Vibe and Niels has co-writed a hymn for peace called “Sing for Unity”, that singers could use worldwide. It was the opening of the event in Ebeltoft.
BOOSTER FROM EUROPEAN REGION OF CULTURE
Toneregn and visual artist Karina Asta Jensen has been granted the Booster from European Region of Culture. It includes a strategy course and a travel to Grenoble and the French Alps in the summer 2025, to build network and create new European collaborations. The title of the project is “Exploring Wilderness through Art”.
The travel has given us lots of inspiration, so stay tuned!
