The beautifully shaped landscape of Mols Bjerge consists of countless kettle holes. The exhibition is a whole that is particularly inspired by the kettle holes locations named Helligkilde, Tinghulen and the more hidden at Langemose.
The artist trio is concerned with conveying nature’s story, which is revealed through geological landscape forms, flora and fauna. Mols Bjerge shows major events that have shaped the earth’s crust, and reaches far beyond our own lifetime and culture. The three artists collaborate through various visual and auditory expressions, to find inspiration for how we can listen to, understand and be part of nature. They have researched, experienced and worked amidst the subtle beauty and dynamics of the kettle holes, and translated it into condensed form into painting, music and poetry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SOUND INSTALLATION
The two composers Vibe Ulbrandt and Niels Ulbrandt have each made their own sound installation, which was played out of the loudspeakers as part of the exhibition.

ABOUT THE CONCERTS
Music inspired by Mols Bjerge was premiered at three concerts during the exhibition period. The music was written by the two composers Vibe Ulbrandt and Niels Ulbrandt, and was performed by Toneregn in various constellations.

VERNISSAGE AND CONCERT <\/strong>January 4th
LYD OG POSESI FRA D\u00d8DISHULLER (\u201cSound and Poetry from Kettle Holes\u201d)
<\/strong>Sound collage and poetry reading, with interpretation of impressions from Mols Bjerge. A short atmospheric concert, with impressions from the kettle holes named Helligkilde, Tinghulen and Langemose.

CONCERT + ARTIST TALK<\/strong> January 18th
The two composers have been staying in Langemose in Mols Bjerge, where the water is the last remnant of the ice age. Now a birch swamp full of life and death has emerged.
The concert was in two parts, where Vibe Ulbrandt was inspired by the air element with bird voices, and Niels Ulbrandt interpreted the deeper parts of the swamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the concert, you could participate in an artist talk with the artist trio behind the exhibition “Kettle Holes – Painting and Music created in Mols Bjerge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

LYDEN AF LANGEMOSE (\u201cThe Sound of Langemose\u201d) <\/strong>– Vibe Ulbrandt.
The beautiful melodies of the nightingale and the blackbird are sung and played on flute and piano. The melodies are part of a combined collage work with impressions from Langemose using loop pedal, voice and a lot of mood-creating instruments. Poems from Langemose are read out as part of the concert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CYKLUS (\u201cCycle\u201d) <\/strong>– Niels Ulbrandt.
Langemose is an understated and diverse place in Mols Bjerge, where life and death unfold undisturbed. The composition moves down into the dark water, dives into the world of crawling animals and follows the stages of plants from living play with light and shadow, to rotting in the swamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONCERT + ARTIST TALK<\/strong> January 25
Two works for piano and cello, composed by Vibe Ulbrandt and Niels Ulbrandt. The musical language is “crossover” in the borderland between classical and rhythmic genres.
Niels Ulbrandt has a background as a pianist as a jazz musician. Cellist Malthe Volfing H\u00f8jager is classically trained in the soloist class at the Royal Academy of Music in Jutland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the concert, you could participate in an artist talk with the artist trio behind the exhibition “Kettle Holes – Painting and Music created in Mols Bjerge”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NIKKENDE KOBJ\u00c6LDE (\u201cSmall Pasque Flower\u201d) – Composer: Vibe Ulbrandt.
Small Pasque Flower is one of the characteristic flowers that grows in Mols Bjerge. The piece has six movements, each describing a phase in the flower’s life, from when it breaks through the ground to when it releases its seeds and says goodbye, carried by the cosmic tide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Supplemented by Vibe at the exhibition with photos, a poem and notes written in calligraphy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VANDSPEJLET (\u201cThe Water Sheet\u201d) – Composer: Niels Ulbrandt.
The composition is inspired by the water sheet in the bog, where every movement creates concentric circles that interact with each other. He also gets very close to the wildlife, both what you can see and what you can’t see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
